The Idea.

• The Itinerant Toolkit is an apparatus for you to take on a journey.

• Any journey you’d like,

• use the devices in the toolkit to record your journey.

• This record will then be shown in the gallery as a response to your journey.

The project is commenting on
• travel,
• transience
• the nature of site-specificity.

• It adds to an already expanding field of art, literature, and critical thoughts surrounding ideas on this subject.

• The apparatus for recording the site will be housed in a suitcase or bag.

• We use luggage as a receptacle on our travels.

• This allows us to take possession of the world around us.

• The toolkit has been imagined to view the world differently.

It is challenging:-
• Traveling as an artistic practice
• Tools and apparatus to make and produce work
• Gallery as a work place
• Challenging the role and convention of the curator, collaboration, and commissioning.
